Yes, when renting a motorcycle in Malta, it is recommended to have an International
Driving Permit (IDP) if your driver's license is not in English or if it does not contain a photo.
While a valid EU driver's license is sufficient for EU citizens.
Car
Our vehicles cover a comprehensive insurance that offers extensive protection, covering
damage to your rented vehicle, third-party damage, and theft.
Excess for Aged 25 years or over:
- Own Damage Excess: If the vehicle is damaged, you pay €200 before insurance covers
the rest. - Theft Excess: If the vehicle is stolen, you also pay €200.
- Third Party Excess: If you damage another vehicle, the excess is €50.
Excess for Aged 25 years or over but less than 2 years driving experience:
- Own Damage Excess: If the vehicle is damaged, you pay €350 before insurance covers
the rest. - Theft Excess: If the vehicle is stolen, you also pay €200.
- Third Party Excess: If you damage another vehicle, the excess is €50.
Motorcycle
Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) - Maximum Deductible €500
Price : €13 / per day
Non- Refundable daily fee
Maximum Deductible: €500
- If the motorcycle is damaged or stolen, the most you will be financially responsible for is €500.
- The LDW covers damage to the motorcycle caused by accidents or collisions.
- If the motorcycle is stolen during your rental period, you will only be responsible for the €500 deductible.
What’s Covered:
- Covers repair costs if the motorcycle is damaged during your rental period.
If the motorcycle is stolen, you only pay up to €500.
We only offer a comprehensive insurance policy for our car and third-party insurance policy for
motorbikes.
Yes, roadside assistance services are included. We will cover the towing service for
mechanical issues, such as engine failure, flat tires, or battery problems. However, if
towing is required due to client negligence such as running out of fuel or locking keys
inside the vehicle, the client will be responsible for the towing expense of €50.
Yes, we offer delivery and pickup services exclusively at Sosa Rental Office in Fgura and
at Malta International Airport. There is an additional charge of €25 as one-time payment
for delivering and for picking up the vehicle to and from the airport. However, to and from
Sosa Rental Office, it’s for free.

No, we do not impose mileage limits on our rentals.
Yes, there is a tax rate of 18% included in the rental price. Additionally, credit card/VISA card fees
may apply, depending on the type of card used for payment.
- Major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard)
- Debit or prepaid
- Cash (in certain circumstances)
- Security deposits must be paid with a valid credit card
Please note that additional fees may apply for specific payment types, and a valid credit
card is required for the security deposit.
Payment and Refund Policy
Funds paid in such cases are non-refundable. Please note that VISA/credit card
authorizations may take up to 31 business days to process. The rental agency is not liable
for any delays in the release of funds by the client's bank.
50% of the total rental should be paid upon booking via valid credit card or debit. Balance amount may be paid through cash or POS in the pickup location.
Please note that reservation fee of 50 euro is non-refundable. However, 500 euro deposit is refundable depends on the circumstances.
- For motorcycle rentals, we provide 2 helmets and a phone holder at no extra charge. For
car rentals, child seats are available upon request for an additional fee. - For car rentals, child seats, booster seats, infant seats are available
upon request for an additional fee.
- Cancellations made up to 2 days before the rental period:
- You will receive a full refund less €45 cancellation fee.
- Cancellations made 1 day before the rental period: No refund will be issued.
- No-show: You will be charged the full rental amount, with no refund provided.
- Delay in Return: Any delay in return of the vehicle will result in additional fees of €10 per hour.
The minimum rental period is 1 day. You can pick up your vehicle from 9:00 AM, with the
latest return time at 5:00 PM. Late returns will incur an extra day's charge. Signing the
agreement and conducting vehicle checks will take about 30 minutes.
Yes, a security deposit of €500 is required. This amount is refundable if no damage
occurs during the rental period.
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with a full tank.
If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, a refueling charge of €10 will be applied in addition tothe cost of fuel.
- For changes made via phone call, we reserve the right to apply a handling fee of 2€.
- The name of the primary driver and the rental location specified in the reservation cannot be altered.
- No refunds will be issued for early returns.
If you require towing for your rented vehicle, please follow these steps:
- Assess the Situation:
Ensure it’s necessary to tow the vehicle (e.g., breakdown, accident).
- Contact Towing Service:
Call the towing service directly using the contact information provided.
- Provide Necessary Information:
When speaking with the towing service, give them:
- Your name and contact information
- Vehicle registration number and type
- Exact location of the vehicle
- Reason for towing
- Notify Rental Service Company:
After contacting the towing service, please inform us about the situation as soon as possible.
- Document the Incident:
Take photos of the vehicle and any relevant details for your records.
- Follow Up:
Ensure the towing service arrives and the vehicle is handled properly.
