Do I need an International Driving Permit?

Our vehicles cover a comprehensive insurance that offers extensive protection, covering damage to your rented vehicle, third-party damage, and theft.
- Excess for Aged 25 years or over:
- Own Damage Excess: If the vehicle is damaged, you pay β¬200 before insurance covers the rest.
- Theft Excess: If the vehicle is stolen, you also pay β¬200.
- Third Party Excess: If you damage another vehicle, the excess is β¬50.
- Excess for Aged 25 years or over but less than 2 years driving experience:
- Own Damage Excess: If the vehicle is damaged, you pay β¬350 before insurance covers the rest.
- Theft Excess: If the vehicle is stolen, you also pay β¬200.
- Third Party Excess: If you damage another vehicle, the excess is β¬50.
Motorcycle
- Loss Damage Waiver (LDW): Maximum Deductible β¬500
- Price: β¬13 / per day
- Non-Refundable daily fee
- Maximum Deductible: β¬500
- If the motorcycle is damaged or stolen, the most you will be financially responsible for is β¬500.
- The LDW covers damage to the motorcycle caused by accidents or collisions.
- If the motorcycle is stolen during your rental period, you will only be responsible for the β¬500 deductible.
- Whatβs Covered:
- Covers repair costs if the motorcycle is damaged during your rental period.
- If the motorcycle is stolen, you only pay up to β¬500.

What insurance options are available?
Are roadside assistance services included?
Yes, roadside assistance services are included. We will cover the towing service for mechanical issues, such as engine failure, flat tires, or battery problems. However, if towing is required due to client negligence such as running out of fuel or locking keys inside the vehicle, the client will be responsible for the towing expense of β¬50.
Do you offer delivery or pickup services?
Yes, we offer delivery and pickup services exclusively at the Sosa Rental Office in Fgura and Malta International Airport. There is an additional one-time payment of β¬25 for delivering and picking up the vehicle to and from the airport. However, it's free to travel to and from the Sosa Rental Office.

Are there mileage limits on rentals?
No, we do not impose mileage limits on our rentals.
Are there any additional local fees?
Yes, there is a tax rate of 18% included in the rental price. Additionally, credit card/VISA card fees may apply, depending on the type of card used for payment.
What payment methods do you accept?
Accepted Payment Methods:
- Major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard)
- Debit or prepaid cards
- Cash (in certain circumstances)
- Security deposits must be paid with a valid credit card
Please note that additional fees may apply for specific payment types, and a valid credit card is required for the security deposit.
Payment and Refund Policy:
Funds paid in such cases are non-refundable. Please note that VISA/credit card authorisations may take up to 31 business days to process. The rental agency is not liable for any delays in the release of funds by the client's bank.
Can I pay cash?
50% of the total rental should be paid upon booking via a valid credit card or debit card. The balance amount may be paid through cash or POS at the pickup location. Please note that the reservation fee of 50 euros is non-refundable. However, a 500 euros deposit is refundable depending on the circumstances.
What else included in your vehicle rental services?
For motorcycle rentals, we provide 2 helmets and a phone holder at no extra charge.
For car rentals, child seats, booster seats, and infant seats are available upon request for an additional fee.
What is the minimum rental period and return policy?
- Cancellations made up to 2 days before the rental period: You will receive a full refund less β¬45 cancellation fee.
- Cancellations made 1 day before the rental period: No refund will be issued.
- No-show: You will be charged the full rental amount, with no refund provided.
- Delay in Return: Any delay in return of the vehicle will result in additional fees of β¬10 per hour.
Is a security deposit required, and how much is it?
The minimum rental period is 1 day. You can pick up your vehicle from 9:00 AM, with the latest return time at 5:00 PM. Late returns will incur an extra day's charge. Signing the agreement and conducting vehicle checks will take about 30 minutes.
What is your fuel policy?
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with a full tank. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, a refueling charge of β¬10 will be applied in addition to the cost of fuel.
Changes to Reservation
- Phone Booking Changes: For changes made via phone call, we reserve the right to apply a handling fee of β¬2.
- Non-Changeable Details: The name of the primary driver and the rental location specified in the reservation cannot be altered.
Early Return
Early Return Policy: No refunds will be issued for early returns.
Requesting Towing Service
- Assess the Situation: Make sure towing is necessary (e.g., due to breakdown or accident).
- Contact Towing Service: Use the contact number provided to call the towing company directly.
- Provide Necessary Details: Share the following with the towing service:
- Your full name and contact number
- Vehicle registration number and type
- Exact location of the vehicle
- Reason for towing
- Notify Us: Inform Sosa Rentals about the situation right after contacting the towing service.
- Document the Incident: Take clear photos of the vehicle and scene for your records.
- Follow Up: Ensure the vehicle is collected and handled properly by the towing service.
